DiskSafe Overview
DiskSafe is easy-to-use-and-deploy software, with two purposes:
- Local restoration of a computer to a known previously-saved state
- Broadcasting of a single prototype system image to an entire network of workstations
Thus DiskSafe can fix broken software on a computer simply by rebooting.
Security and Stability in a Corporate LAN
DiskSafe solves three major problems with staff workstations in a corporate environment.
- Virus infection
Viruses, and worms can destroy an entire network. Once a computer in your network gets infected, damage can spread to others very quickly. Malfunctioning hardware or software (especially across an entire department) has a real cost in lost productivity. The ability to remove all malicious infection in a few minutes greatly mitigates damage and financial loss.
- Broken Software
Typical work environments use software for extended periods of time. During this time, the stability or efficiency of these software systems tends to drift toward chaos. Indeed, office employees making a call for an IT staff member to spend hours fixing or reinstalling a station is business-as-usual. DiskSafe makes this process a simple issue of selecting a quick recovery procedure from a menu.
- Illegal or Unwanted Software
Corporations and governments understand and are concerned about contemporary intellectual property issues on the Internet. No organization wishes to harbor stolen intellectual property (for example, software, music, or movies), or even the tools used to share them. This software has no legitimate productive use and it is typically a major avenue to getting a virus outbreak.
DiskSafe is designed to solve all of the above problems. Our goal is to assist corporations and governments to have stable computers for their staff to use. Any possible problem will be fixable by any staff member, and not by their system administrators. This allows everybody to be more efficient in the workplace.
