Disk Safe ver 2.0 - Documentation
1.3. Networking
Installing Windows One Hundred Times in Ten Minutes. Taking the snapshot concept beyond a single computer, DiskSafe can send the data to other computers on the network, thus duplicating the prototype software onto every recipient. This procedure is called a broadcast.
Hands-Free Network Configuration. During a network broadcast, DiskSafe auto-configures its network settings, with no manual intervention. Unlike DHCP, this is fully automatic and does not rely on external support. Furthermore, DiskSafe uses a dedicated IP address range which will not conflict with standard networks and is compatible with Windows, Unix, Mac OS9, and Mac OSX.
