In the first part of seminar Jason explained and answered on two very important questions: What is a Technical Security Audit and Why Security Audit? Explained problems of auditing in an organization, explaining how self-assessments and security auditing procedures help everybody in the organization, from the mail room to the board room. Second part of workshop was technical security audit. First, we plan the initial assessment, then run selected software tools. The important concern of auditing is to keep the process achievable and unobtrusive. Automating as much as possible will save human resources, while building up a site baseline, which can be used for improvement planning.
